The Rome Police Department is staffed by 6 Patrol Officers, and 1 Chief, 365 days a year.  During the Summer we are staffed also by 4 part time ATV and Boat Patrol Officers.

All of our officers are required to have 24 hours of training a year to keep their officer status. About 12 of the 24 required hours of training are conducted here by our officers who are certified instructors.
